Conservation for Working Lands
Pheasants Forever in partnership with BWSR received funding from the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) for Soil & Water Conservation District staff time to promote voluntary conservation throughout Minnesota.
The Conservation Cooperation for Working Lands (CCWL) offers money for staff to spend time with landowners educating them and working with them on conservation related projects. CCWL funds can be used to promote and work on CRP, EQIP, CSP, RIM, MAWQCP, DNR Prairie Bank, WIA, FWS programs, and other practices related to wildlife habitat and soil health.
Quarterly reports will be utilized to track deliverables and reimburse SWCD’s for their time. Time spent on voluntary conservation from contract obligation through June 30, 2025, is eligible for reimbursement up to $30,000. Details can be found in the attached documents below.
